Yeah because Microsoft are the Anti Christ compared to the angelic Sony and Ninty.
Seems a bit extreme mate, anti christ or angelic , sorry my category system isnt as black or white as that. Just looking at Microsofts repeated strategy of "Embrace, extend and extinguish" into different areas of technology, why would they not continue this behaviour in the games industry , which is possibly the biggest market of all time . Nintendo and Sonys "crime" seems to be a real innocence or naivety and a wish to play fair . Microsoft behaviour resulted them in losing a huge court case for there disgusting behaviour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Microsoft) , and the similarities between that case and the recent hacking case with Murdoch are strikingly similar , only a lot worse in Microsofts case. The judge was literally laughing at Gates in the end with his constant inability to remember anything (with email evidence to the contrary) , and they repeteadly falsified video evidence (honestly take a look its hilarious, in a kinda awfull fashion)
The thing is i was really looking forward to Bioshock infinite, the video footage of that game blew me away , the animation when certain events happened (no spoilers here) were something else, something really new.
Irrational made a statement that they had some really exciting opportunitys open up in the areas that it appears, these guys were working in.
To put it another way, have you ever gone into a supermarket and you havnt been able to find the product you want, they dont stock it anymore , what they do stock is a slightly cheaper name brand clone of the product that you wanted. It doesnt taste quite the same, its a little blander perhaps a litle cheaper , but thats the only choice, and your kinda stuck with it, shame for the poor company that came up with the product in the first place.
Im typing this on a computer using Vista as its operating system, its known as an operating system which is somewhat like a pig wearing lipstick , funny with Microsofts huge huge profits you would of thought they would of put more into it (bet they made a nice profit though)

Your welcome to your view , and although true all businesses are there to make money , other companies have a genuine passion and that comes across in their products and the way they conduct themselves. You need to actually go and read the link i have provided and then perhaps the evidence will make you see things a little different.
I am not an unbalanced ranting fanboy , if you search through my posts then you will see i have been on threads defending Kinect when it was in its infancy and the majority were slagging off the tech (semed pretty interesting to me at the time).
After the 360 was released , there was so much mudslinging from microsoft in a kinda stealth social network campaign it was really distastefull and annoying , Sony and Nintendo kept politely quiet, didnt really do Nintendo any harm, but certainly didnt help Sony much , as some of that mud stuck. The last couple of years has really quietened down on that front , and i much prefer it, i just dont want to read that sort of fake gossipy s**t.
When the xbox came out , it provided a console with an online gaming service that worked well and that success was further consolidated in the 360 and loads of people loved/love those consoles, to me though although the tech is obviously great, i dont really trust the company behind those boxes, its a bit like asking a priest to babysit for you 
I love zombies but i really wouldnt want Activision to run the gaming industry, EA built the most amazing forward thinking game studio in the UK , then treated there staff like dogs, so not them either, but there are other companies where i have a higher degree of trust with there integrity, like Valve or Nintendo.
PS i also buy free range eggs, and avoid buying super cheap clothes from certain stores , as they obviously have been made in a sweat shop (probably by children), you cant stop businesses behaving in a certain way unless you proactively dont invest in them.

Shame about the leavers from Irrational, hopefully Rod God and the rest will still deliver a belter in Bioshock Infinite.
